2. Prices and payment
All prices are stated in Danish kroner (DKK).
The individual experience or specific quotation will state what is included in the price.
For online purchases, payment can be made using the payment methods displayed during checkout.
For private Food Walks for companies and groups, payment is made in accordance with the payment terms stated in the quotation, order confirmation or invoice.
3. Booking a Food Walk
When you book a Food Walk for a specific date and time, you will receive a confirmation at the email address you provided.
Please check that the date, time, number of participants and other details in the confirmation are correct.
If you have not received your confirmation, we recommend checking your spam or junk mail folder first. You can then contact us at info@foodwalk.dk.
4. Right of withdrawal for Food Walks on a fixed date
When purchasing a Food Walk that is to take place on a specific date or within a specific period, the standard 14-day right of withdrawal does not generally apply.
When you book a specific date for your Food Walk, the booking is therefore binding, subject to the rescheduling options set out in these terms and conditions.
5. Rescheduling public Food Walks
If you are unable to attend on the date you have booked, please contact Food Walk as soon as possible.
If there are more than 72 hours before the start of the tour, a booking can generally be moved to another available date.
If there are less than 72 hours before the start of the tour, the booking generally cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
You are welcome to give your ticket to another person if you are unable to attend.
Please contact us at info@foodwalk.dk if special circumstances arise. We will try to find a solution whenever practically possible.
6. Cancellation by Food Walk
A public Food Walk requires a sufficient number of participants in order to take place.
If, unexpectedly, there are too few bookings for the selected tour, we will contact the affected guests directly and as soon as possible.
If Food Walk cancels a tour, we will offer the option of moving the booking to another available date or another solution in accordance with applicable law.
Food Walk does not cover indirect expenses resulting from a cancellation, such as transport, parking, hotel accommodation or other arrangements, unless otherwise required by mandatory applicable law.
7. Weather and changes to the tour
Food Walks take place on foot and, as a general rule, in whatever weather Denmark has to offer.
Rain, wind, cold or hot weather will therefore not normally constitute grounds for cancellation.
Food Walk may change the route, order of stops, venues or tastings if necessary due to, for example, changes in opening hours, illness, operational circumstances at a venue or other circumstances beyond our control.
In such cases, we will endeavour to provide a Food Walk that, as a whole, corresponds to the experience booked.
8. Private Food Walks for companies and groups
Private Food Walks are tailored to each individual group and may therefore vary in terms of route, duration, tastings, food, drinks and number of stops.
The specific content and agreed price will be stated in the quotation or order confirmation received by the customer.
Private Food Walks are generally arranged for a minimum of 10 paying participants. If the group consists of fewer than 10 participants, the tour may be arranged by agreement for an additional charge.
Cancellation
A private Food Walk may be cancelled no later than 7 days before the agreed date.
If the event is cancelled less than 7 days before the agreed date, the booking is binding and the agreed amount becomes payable.
Final number of participants
The final number of participants, together with information about allergies and special dietary requirements, must be provided to Food Walk no later than 7 days before the event.
The number of participants provided by this deadline will form the basis for the final invoice.
If fewer participants attend after this deadline, the price will not be reduced.
If the customer wishes to add more participants after the deadline, Food Walk will be happy to check whether this is possible.
The payment deadline will be stated in the quotation, order confirmation or invoice.
9. Allergies and special dietary requirements
Information about allergies and special dietary requirements must be provided to Food Walk as early as possible and before the stated deadline.
We pass relevant information on to the venues included in the tour and will investigate possible alternatives.
We cannot guarantee that all allergies, intolerances or special dietary preferences can be accommodated at every stop.
Serious food allergies must be clearly stated when booking so that the available options can be investigated together with the relevant venues.
10. Food and drinks
Food and drinks on a Food Walk are generally prepared and/or served by the restaurants, cafés, producers and other food businesses we visit.
Each food business is responsible for the food it prepares and serves in accordance with the rules applicable to its business.
Food Walk cannot guarantee that a particular dish, ingredient or drink will always be available unless this has been expressly agreed.
If a product or serving is unavailable on the day, it may be replaced with another suitable alternative.
11. Responsibility and participation
A Food Walk takes place on foot through the city and may include pavements, cobblestones, stairs, road crossings and other publicly accessible areas.
Participants are responsible for moving around safely, being aware of their surroundings and following normal traffic rules as well as practical instructions given by the guide.
Participation takes place with due consideration for each participant’s own physical abilities and the conditions on the day.
Food Walk cannot be held liable for injury, loss or other circumstances for which Food Walk is not liable under the general rules of Danish law.
12. Late arrival and no-shows
It is the participant’s responsibility to arrive at the stated meeting point on time.
Public Food Walks begin at the time stated in the booking, and the group may not be able to wait for participants who arrive late.
If you are running late, we recommend contacting Food Walk as soon as possible. We will do our best to help you locate and join the group, but we cannot guarantee that this will be possible.
Late arrival or failure to attend does not generally entitle the participant to a refund.
13. Gift cards
Food Walk gift cards may be used in accordance with the terms and validity period stated at the time of purchase and on the gift card.
Rules concerning withdrawal, validity and any entitlement to payment of the gift card value are governed by applicable Danish law.
If the price of the selected Food Walk is higher than the value of the gift card, the difference must be paid when booking.
Please contact info@foodwalk.dk if you have any questions about using a gift card.
14. Complaints
If you believe that the Food Walk provided does not correspond to what was agreed, please contact us as soon as possible.
Email info@foodwalk.dk and describe the matter concerned. Please include the date of your Food Walk and your name or booking number where possible.
Our priority is to find a solution directly with our guests.
15. Reviews
Guests are, of course, welcome to share their experience with Food Walk on review platforms and other relevant media.
We appreciate both positive and constructive feedback, as it helps us continuously improve our experiences and the way we communicate about them.
If anything during or after a Food Walk does not meet your expectations, you are always welcome to contact us directly at info@foodwalk.dk.
16. Complaints procedure
If we are unable to resolve a complaint together, a consumer may investigate the possibility of submitting the matter to the relevant Danish complaints body, provided that the requirements for having the case considered are met.
Current information about consumer complaint procedures is available from the relevant Danish consumer authorities.
17. Personal data
When you make a booking or contact Food Walk, we process the personal data necessary to handle your enquiry, booking and payment.
Further information about the processing of personal data, retention, possible recipients and your rights can be found in Food Walk’s Privacy Policy.
18. Cookies
Information about the use of cookies on foodwalk.dk can be found in the website’s Cookie Policy and current cookie declaration.
19. Governing law
Purchases and agreements with Food Walk are governed by Danish law.
Any mandatory rights afforded to consumers under applicable law are not limited by these terms and conditions.
